Welcome to Lavariders.com!--Temporary Website Lava Riders ATV Club was founded in 2007 and is located in the Klamath Basin
in Southern Oregon. The geologic terrain consists of ancient Volcanos, lava flows, multiple lakes and streams and National
Forests, National Parks and Wildlife Refuges. The area climate ranges from the rain forests of the Cascade Mountain Range
to high desert to the High Mountain Lakes of the Trinity Alps in Northern California. Our ride areas are located mostly
on National Forest Land located in Northern California and Southern Oregon. We ride mainly on Forest Service Roads, fire roads
and mountain trails and occaisionally ride the numerous sand dunes that Oregon has to offer. We prefer to be partners
with the forest lands and the Government Agencies that manage these lands. We abide by all rules governing OHV use on these
lands. We do not litter or disrupt wildlife habitats. We stay on marked trails and roads reserved for OHV use only.
We sponser Annual Club Rides at different times of the year. Feel free to browse our website. We are always recruiting new
members so please register.

NEWS AND ALERTS

Recall Notice: Honda TRX500FA/FGA/FE/FM ATV's
Water can enter the right-side wire harness and collect inside the plastic sheathing. The trapped water can seep into
the wires and, over time, contaminate the throttle position sensor. Water in the throttle position sensor can freeze in cold
weather and prevent the engine from returning to idle when the throttle lever is released.
Honda strongly recommends
that you do not operate your TRX in freezing or near freezing temperatures until it has been repaired. Parts will be available
soon. Honda will send out another letter notifying you when you can go to your Honda ATV Dealer to have the repair completed.

Product Evaluation

|
|
This months product evaluation is on the Fuel Pack Jr. and the Water Pack Jr. from Kolpin Power Sports. The
Fuel Pack Jr. (in red) and the Water Pack Jr. (in white) both use the same mounting system (the Pack Mount or the ATV Fuel/Water
Pack Bracket) and are easy to remove and use. The unique features of the Pack Mount use a single locking mechanism which requires
a simple quarter turn to unlock the can and then slide off the fuel can and use. When finished, just slide the fuel can back
into place and turn the locking mechanism a quarter turn and your ready to go. Mounting the Pack Mount to your cargo rack
is a breeze. Each container holds 1.5 gallons. Fuel Pack Jr. and Water Pack Jr. are $45.99 US each. The Pack Mount is $11.99
US each and the ATV Fuel/Water Pack Bracket is $28.74 US each. In most cases you would use the ATV Fuel/Water Pack Bracket
for mounting to your ATV Rack. I found the Fuel Pack was easy to remove and replace and the unit stayed snug and tight
during a full day of riding. The ATV Fuel/Water Pack Bracket was fairly easy to install on my Honda stock rear rack. This
might be a different story on some other quads where the Pack Mount would be used instead. Over all I say yes to this
product.

| Klamath National Forest, November 2007 |
The January and February 08 rides were cancelled due to snow. Or if you prefer, took place on the sidewalks and driveways
of Klamath Falls as I spent most of my time plowing mine and my neighbors driveways and sidewalks due to the heavy snow fall.
The plow didn't come off the quad until the 2nd week of March for an unoffical ride with a friend/co-worker Chris
and his buddies.
